alumni
We have made great strides over the last year in revitalizing your alumni association. We have an official Alumni Council comprised of alumni ranging in class years from 1968 to 2008. Our Alumni Council President is Sara Jennings, a graduate from 2004 now specializing in Forensic Nursing with Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital.
As you know, 2011 marked the 50th anniversary of the Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. We proudly commemorated the last fifty years with an anniversary gala at the Jefferson Hotel and established the Gloria H. Booker Scholarship fund. Mrs. Booker has been a faculty member of the College for forty years. Learn more about the Gloria H. Booker Scholarship and other ways to support the BSMCON.
Alumni of the Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing have launched careers in a wide variety of nursing fields. They are valuable contributors in numerous health care settings, including hospitals, physicians' practices, occupational nursing, public health nursing, hospice, home health and nursing education. Some of our nurses have specialized in quality and performance improvement, care management, risk management, forensic nursing, nursing informatics or health information management.
Many of our graduates have continued their educations, pursuing Bachelors, Masters Degree or a Doctorate. Wherever their nursing careers have led them, our alumni carry on the legacy of the Sisters of Bon Secours by providing compassionate care.
