usernames and passwords
Remote access to our electronic collections is made available through usernames and passwords. Databases like EBSCO and OVID require these identifiers before you will be able to access articles in their collections. College-specific user names and passwords for our databases are available on Blackboard (in the course called LIBRARY), and as handouts in the library itself.
It is illegal to “SHARE” the username and passwords to our licensed databases. The usernames and passwords are for Bon Secours students only. Posting the information on the Web, or distributing the identifiers in any way, is an infringement of our license, which makes that action an Honor Code violation.Other intermediaries require personal usernames and passwords. ATHENS is one such intermediary. Athens provides access to many high quality articles you will want. You can only sign up for Athens on a Bon Secours computer. Once you have registered you can access text articles from some publishers through the Athens link.
