The DAISY Awards were held Monday, May 18 at Campus Forum. The College had a total of 21 nominees who received recognition, leading up to the announcement of our first DAISY Award winner, Tammy Krukiel. Tammy was praised in her nomination as "a model for the nursing profession." She was recognized for her interactive teaching that helped students better understand patients in her Geriatrics class with simulated exercises that included vision loss, arthritis, and loss of smell. In addition to Gerontological Concepts and Issues, Tammy teaches Competencies for Nursing Practice I, Clinical Immersion and teaches in the RN-BSN program. Her talents are exceptional and we are grateful to count her among our faculty. Congratulations Tammy, on this deserving recognition!
