Event Information
Registration check-in for the gala will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Westin Richmond. Following check-in, guests are invited to enjoy a drink and explore our Decade Breakout Rooms. These rooms provide a wonderful opportunity for alumni and friends to reconnect with others who were a part of our program during specific decades. Breakout rooms will be available for the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.
After some time to reconnect in the Decade Breakout Rooms, guests will be invited to the main ballroom for a three-course, plated meal as we celebrate 60 years of excellence in nursing education. During the dinner, the College's Alumni Advisory Board will present the inaugural alumni awards. Find more information about the alumni awards and submit your nomination form by clicking here.
If you wish to not be publicly recognized for your contribution to the Laura Murphy Student Emergency Relief Fund, please contact the Office of Student & Alumni Affairs at alumni@bsmcon.edu.
Parking & Accommodations
Out-of-town guests are encouraged to stay at the Westin Richmond for ease of access and transportation. A room block is available for both Friday 10/18 and Saturday 10/19 while supplies last. Please contact the Westin Richmond directly to reserve your room.
Complimentary parking for the event is available for no charge in the Westin Richmond parking lot. Accessible parking spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will be hosted on the first floor of the hotel. During the gala reception, seating will not be assigned. Guests are welcome to select a seat that best meets their preferences.
