Support the College
There is a critical shortage of nurses. According to a February 2016 article in The Atlantic Monthly, “the U.S. has been dealing with a nursing deficit of varying degrees for decades, but today – due to an aging population, the rising incidences of chronic disease, an aging workforce and the limited capacity of nursing schools – this shortage is on the cusp of becoming a crisis, one with worrying implications for patients and health care providers alike.”
Make A Gift Now – Invest in Nurses Today!
Simply put, we must invest in nurses. As a ministry of education, it begins with our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Through the Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, we can strengthen resources right here in Central Virginia and beyond. Advancing the mission of the College requires scholarship support, faculty development, program growth, and community partnerships—but we can’t do it alone. We invite our friends, alumni, and community to join us in this important work.
Your philanthropic investment in Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing expands educational opportunities for students, helps them graduate without overwhelming debt, and strengthens our faculty’s ability to prepare the next generation of compassionate caregivers. Together, we not only support our local health care needs but also extend our reach globally, as students and faculty participate in international service trips that bring quality health care and education to underserved communities around the world. Global outreach offers students an invaluable opportunity to put their skills into practice, deepen cultural understanding, and serve those who otherwise lack access to medical care.
