Building Safety and Emergency Procedures
For your safety and that of our entire campus community, please be sure your emergency contact information is up to date in your Student Portal and review the Safety policies available on the College’s website (https://www.bsmcon.edu/policies) in the Safety section. Be on the lookout in the next few weeks for a reminder communication about our SafeColleges application, a platform with important training modules around safety and security.
The Magellan Campus Emergency Management and Evacuation Procedures (EMEP) is an emergency preparedness document intended to ensure the safety and protection of associates, students, and visitors during fire, severe weather, loss of utilities and other emergencies at the 8550 8555, and 8570 Magellan campus buildings. All students, faculty, and associates are heavily encouraged to review and familiarize themselves with the emergency procedures as the EMEP outlines the resources, procedures, and roles each Magellan campus community member plays in keeping our campus safe in the event of an on-campus emergency. The College’s ability to respond to campus emergencies is enhanced by a Public Announcement (PA) system, which is audible throughout campus when activated.

- STEP 1: Log into Blackboard
- STEP 2: Navigate to any available Blackboard course
- STEP 3: Once in the course, select College Resources
- STEP 4: View the EMEP in the Resource & Help folder
