8550, 8555, 8570 Building Access:

The building access control system (Lenel S2) at our 8550, 8555, and 8570 buildings is equipped with security features that allow you to learn in a safer environment. These features include outside facing cameras at all building entry points, a video intercom system, and a lockdown button.

You may use your door access cards to enter the three buildings through the following doors during the above operating hours:

8550: Door #1 - Suite 1100; Door #14 - Suite 800; Door #11 - Suite 400 Front Entrance; Door #4 - Rear Entrance between Financial Aid and Student Success

8555:  Suite 200 Door

8570: Suite 100 (Main Entrance by Front Desk)

Campus security is very important, and access control is the line that protects our most important assets: associates and students.

  1. All associates and students must wear and ALWAYS visibly display their identification badges while located on the Magellan campus.
  2. Associates and student shall identify themselves to front desk/security personnel when entering the building as well as to faculty, if requested.
  3. Guests must sign in and out at the front desk. Guests should wait in the front desk area/lobby for the appropriate functional unit associate to accompany them during their visit.
  4. If you see a new or unfamiliar face around the building, please introduce yourself so that we can get to know one another better.
  5. Do NOT allow anyone to enter the building without using their badge; this allows us to be able to account for everyone in the event of a building emergency. This may feel uncomfortable but is essential for everyone’s safety. Anyone who does not have their badge with them should sign in at the front desk.

The purpose of these best practices is to enable associates and students to identify one another and allow the Magellan Campus Building Emergency Team to quickly identify unauthorized individuals on the Magellan campus in the event of a critical incident.

For your student gathering needs, you may use this link to request some of the campus spaces highlighted on our below 8550, 8555, and 8570 building maps. Regardless, always make sure you check the room schedule posted outside of the door before using any room on campus.

*Campus will remain open to faculty and staff who need to access the building during this time
