Welcome to Fall 2025, BSMCON! Welcome Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate the sense of community, built around our Mission and Values, that makes BSMCON unique, both inside and outside of the classroom. All students are encouraged to participate in each of the activities listed below!

Students should maintain full compliance with the dress code policy and be in uniform while in simulation or clinical settings.

Schedule of Events

All Week
 

• SNA COAT DRIVE
  • Going through your clothes in preparation for the cooler weather? Have a coat that doesn't fit just right after last year? Drop your gently used youth or adult coats in the SNA collection bin, located in the Student Lounge! Coats will be donated to the Third Street Bethel AME Church.
• INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY
  • Learn about upcoming events, activities and initiatives by following BSMCON on Instagram at @bsmcon! One lucky winner from each program will be drawn at the end of the week to receive a Bluetooth speaker. To enter, follow @bsmcon and tag two friends or fellow students on our giveaway post, beginning Monday, August 18!

Theme: Twin Day | Match With Your Bestie!

  • Join a virtual panel of BSMCON seniors and alumni who will share their experiences navigating nursing school and transitioning to practice! Join the meeting here.

Theme: Hat Day | What's That? Show Off Your Hat!
 

• BUDDY MEET-UP | 8:00 - 9:00 AM | Classroom 6
  • Grab a bagel, coffee and your buddy! Join the College Ambassador big buddies in Classroom 6 for breakfast and a time to chat before class.
     
• SNAck TIME! | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM | Student Lounge
  • Stop by the Student Lounge to grab a snack and hear about SNA! Learn about membership benefits, dues and joining NSNA.
     
• GLOBAL OUTREACH INTEREST MEETING | 12:00 - 12:45 PM | Classroom 3
  • Learn more about Global Outreach experiences during their introductory meeting!

  • Get your craft on with OSAA! Design a tote bag for your next farmer's market trip or set your intentions for the upcoming year by making a vision board.

  • Add some spark to your soda by stopping by the Student Lounge! Attendees will be able to chat with College Ambassadors and enter a drawing for door prizes!
     
• TACO-TASTIC TAILGATE | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM | BSMCON Front Lawn
  • Let's celebrate a great week by ending it with the best thing about our BSMCON community! You're invited to join faculty, staff and your fellow students for an on-campus picnic lunch on the BSMCON front lawn. Yard games and prizes galore!
