Hello students, and welcome to Welcome Week 2024!

Welcome Week is a time for us to celebrate our campus community! This sense of community, built around our Mission and Values, goes beyond the classroom and is part of what makes BSMCON unique. All students are encouraged to participate in each of the activities listed below!
For each activity you participate in, your name will be entered into a drawing for our grand prize, a BSMCON prize pack! This includes posting content to your social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and tagging @BSMCON. See the schedule below for more details. Please note that all posts using the hashtag are expected to meet the BSMCON media policy.
Students should maintain full compliance with the dress code policy and be in uniform while in simulation or clinical settings.
RN-BSN students, you will see a link to two daily trivia questions in your Blackboard courses. For each question you get right, your name will be entered into a drawing for another BSMCON gear bundle!
In addition to the BSMCON prize packs, students will have chances to win prizes at several Welcome Week activities!

Monday, August 19
Theme: Favorite Sports Team | All Day
- CA: Mindful Monday | All Day
- The College Ambassadors invite you to post a virtual positive note or uplifting quote to your preferred social platform and tag the College @bsmcon!
- SNA: Spirit Photos | All Day
- Share your memories with us! We want to see your photos from around campus, on Global Outreach trips, and other fond school memories you have. Submitted photos that align with our values will be edited into a video that will be shared. Send photos to Alexis_Tucker@bsmcon.edu.
- SGO: Chat N' Chew Virtual Alumni Panel | 12:00 - 1:00 | Zoom
- Grab your lunch and join a virtual panel of recent graduates who will share their experiences of navigating nursing school and transitioning to practice. Use this link to join the call!
Tuesday, August 20
Theme: Decades Day | All Day

- Show off your Decades Day outfits! Swing by the Student Lounge to snap and print a shot in our photo booth. Grab a breakfast treat between 8:00 - 9:00 while you are there!
- CA: Buddy Meet Up | 8:00 - 9:00 | Classroom 3
- Are you a part of the College Ambassador Buddy Program? If so, head to Classroom 3 to connect with your buddy after grabbing a snack from the Student Lounge!
- SNA: Sub Club | 11:30 - 12:30 | Auditorium
- Grab a sub from Jimmy John's courtesy of SNA, while supplies last! Learn more about the Student Nurses' Association and enter to win a door prize!
- Global Outreach Interest Meeting | 12:00 -12:45 | Classroom 2

- SGO: S.G.O. GO! | All Day | Campus Wide
- The SGO has hidden colorful letters (S, G, and O) around the campus. If you find one, bring it to the front desk to receive a BSMCON prize pack!
- General Body Meeting | 11:30-12:30 | Classroom 3
- Grab some Panda Express, while supplies last, and join the SGO for their first General Body Meeting of the year in Classroom 3!

- Who doesn't love a great taco for lunch? Join us in Classroom 3 to talk and grab some grub from Moe's, while supplies last, and learn more about College Ambassadors!
- College Ambassadors: Come Chill With Us | 2:45 - 3:45 | Classroom 5
- Beat that summer heat with some Gelati Celesti! College Ambassadors will be slinging scoops in Classroom 5; come get your treat while it lasts!
