COVID-19 UPDATE, April 1, 2020
Dear Campus Community,
Many of you have asked about commencement this spring, and we had hoped to be sharing better news regarding events and activities planned in May. Unfortunately, given the new ‘stay-at-home’ order in place from Governor Northam until June 10, we will be unable to hold the spring commencement as planned in May.
We realize how disappointing this is to our students and their families. Commencement is a time-honored tradition to celebrate the years of hard work, dedication and commitment to your education; it is well-deserved.
We are now looking at creative ways to commemorate the May 2020 class, including plans for holding the commencement ceremony at a later date. We will continue to share details about these developments as they become available.
We are thankful for your continued patience and flexibility during these challenging times. The health and safety of our College community remains our priority. Please pray for our fellow alumni and colleagues, many of whom are on the front lines of patient care in our community and beyond.
Together, we stand united in our mission to bring people and communities to health and wholeness during this health crisis.
